Hollywood Actor Prep Didn’t Cover Emmy Awards 2010

Why?

The reason is… I have a mold inside the walls of my home  (rental) that has taken over my clothes, bags; maybe my health.

Tending to that. Sorry that it is taking so much time. (Uch, misery.)

As ever, I will be back in September, as I told you and I am good for my word!  As will my regular posts, once again.

Something exciting…

I am not exactly typing, for Hollywood Actor Prep right now; but I am planning and plotting how to do some very groovy things in the Fall. Get ready. S-u-b-s-c-r-i-b-e and get Hollywood Actor Prep delivered for free to your email, or Google reader, etc. (click on the orange letters to easily do so.)

Really…

Because the early subscribers are going to get something that I will not show anyone else. For a good long time…Something very special…You will be sooooo surprised at what it is…

I don’t know about you, but I like to change things, and introduce some new stuff, to increase My interest about this blog. I’m thinking this new thing(s) may do the same for you.

About the Emmys…

[I'm guessing that you already know, by now, who won the awards at the 2010 Emmys...  If I can get the mold out of my brain, I may even attend the Emmys 2011. We'll see.]

See You In September!

Best,

Dana

Dana’s Summer Break Playlist 2010

Wasn’t Going To Take A Summer Break, 2010.

Then I got a little flu, and realized…Man, I am not letting myself have a break. And I want one. I need one.

Have lots of cleaning and purging to do at home, and there’s other stuff to tend to.

Most of all, I need to take time to let it all go.

(It took me about 20 years to learn that it’s important to take some relax time. Still not great about doing what I learned! Working on it…)

See you all in September!

This doesn’t mean I won’t be posting Emmy winners, or other stuff should I get the urge.

But it does mean I am going to try to shut down my motors, a little.

Here’s a fun, vintage summertime song playlist I put together for you. For in the meantime.

(…You can dance if you want to…)

It’s Summer, And We Haven’t Had Summer Weather In Los Angeles.

Not yet,and it’s mid-August.
Yeah, it’s making me feel cheated.
I usually like to take this time and head to the beach, let it all go. Boogie-board til the toxicity overrides my desire, or an occasional riptide.

This Weather Is Not Conducive To A Break At The Beach.

Each Blog Post Takes Work.

My crabbiness is extending into every area of my life, today.

Including Hollywood Actor Prep. Sorry.
I am feeling that I am really wanting something back from all this. It’s been a few years, and it’s a lot of time to volunteer.

Why Might These Videos Have Value For Actors?

1. One of the most valuable things to do is to laugh. That’s my opinion.

2. It’s also a gift to be able to make people laugh. Funny Or Die has contributions some of the funniest actors and comedians.
2. Original Web Material.
(That doesn’t look amateurish. Which is the biggest problem with too much original content, around the web. That’s a big hint…You’ll hear it again soon from other sites, and self-set-up ‘advisors’ to actors.. It’s that important.)

So…Let’s Take Some Time To Laugh, Shall We?

Here’s some original videos, from Funny-Or-Die.

Casting Directors Advise Actors–On Video Widget

But you don’t have to worry about the validity of the casting directors widget, which I embed in the very next post. Yes, I see that a few of them do have products that they sell to actors, as of this year; that’s kind of a new thing. But at least, if their intent is to market their product, they are giving you some truly experiential expertise to get you to dish out the dough for whatever they are selling. They aren’t making up the advice out of thin air.
To my knowledge, April Webster, who cast LOST …
