Here’s the final cast of the Farrelly Brothers, THREE STOOGES. At one point, it was disclosed that the cast was to be Jim Carrey, Sean Penn, and Benecio Del Toro. Then there was problems about availability, and different well-known actors were discussed. Finally, actors were cast who weren’t A-level movie actors; but instead cast for comedic ability and how well they played the character, during auditions.
The actors that made final cast are Sean Hayes, Will Sasso and Chris Diamantopoulos.
Before Sean Hayes (far right) became known from TV’s WILL AND GRACE, I auditioned with him for two separate jobs. This was over 10 years ago, but I remember him as one of the funniest actors that I auditioned with, ever… Sean Hayes is spontaneous; and on-the-spot, hilarious. I don’t know how this movie will turn out; and certainly as an actor, its end result won’t be dependent on Hayes. But if they utilize his sense of humor to it’s max degree, unlike we’ve yet seen from Sean Hayes, then the movie will be using his talents to their own advantage.
