I was impressed by the consistent awareness of Mr. Damon's approaches in his inner knowing to convey the context of the films he works on. His attitude of being willing to be as a student: listening , observing, taking in everything around him to serve his desire to deepen his breadth for future roles makes him unique as expressed by his professional peers. It seems by his skillful use of instinctive physicalities for his choices in playing a role will keep him working for quite sometime. He trusts in his abilities on how to convey his motivations in order to draw the audience in and feel.

I agree. Acting, at its essence, is actually very simple. That's what makes it so hard.

Thank you very much for your comment. I have heard of Brian Reise, but I thought he was known for doing classes on "auditioning". Thanks for sharing this bit of info. I always feel a sense of relief, when I hear abut acting teachers who teach high-level acting principles. Why relief? Because not all acting teachers do.

Most of all, I like to be reassured that high quality acting will survive, and flourish. It's often, but not always, what is valued on the professional level.
